Expanding on star motifs used in weddings, I dreamt up “A Starry Night” theme and found an inspiration board created by Blake Kritzberg  from Wedsmack. I’m really liking the idea of subtly incorporating star motifs in weddings. I think stars would create a dreamlike, fanciful touch of childlike whimsy and the use of midnight blue makes for a stunning, dramatic effect.  Blake’s very creative inspiration board sums up  just what I envision. astarrynight1sparklers Also consider fancy up-lighting to create that starry, magical effect. Avoid an overuse of giant stars so your wedding doesn’t turn out looking like a  high school prom.

To elaborate on decor ideas: luminaries with star cut-outs and star-shaped paper lanterns to illuminate that evening glow-

Consider star charms with ribbon looped through and tied around as a napkin ring/holder. starcharm2starcharm11 starcharm3

starcakeGood bye damask! I predict we’ll be seeing a lot more of this star motif in weddings. It will be as common as previous polka-dot and stripe motif trends. I’ve also got an itch that navy and midnight blues may possibly be the next gray. This concludes star motif inspiration! =)
